Shirley Temple's Onion Soup Au Gratin

Two quarts chicken broth
4 onions, sliced

Saute onions in butter until a very light brown. Add chicken broth, season to taste. Garnish with French roll, sliced, and Parmesan cheese. Bake under flame.
